Journal entry by Jess Whitmore

Greg here - We got the news we were hoping and praying for: "Complete Response". This means there is no evidence of disease on the PET scan or in the bone marrow biopsy. So, I am currently in "Complete Remission". Unfortunately, this type of cancer is not "curable" (but very "treatable"). The only thing that will tell us how long I will be in remission is time. Additionally, the CAR-T therapy is so new that there haven't been any long term studies. Most importantly, this is the best possible news we could have gotten today, and I will be followed closely by my Hematology Team in Rochester. We will celebrate for now, and hope and pray for many years of remission!
