Journal entry by Victoria McDowell —
Both Helen and Vinh are still admitted in Trauma and Pediatrics ICU at Santa Clara Valley Medical respectively. They both are experiencing pain to a very great degree from their head injuries and more. We will do our best to keep you all updated for recovery status and visit guidelines. Thank you so much for all of the prayers, love, and support.
For all visitors, please no filming or photography of both Helen and Vincent Jr. for privacy reasons. If you would like to visit, please contact (408) 234-0716 so we can designate a better time for your visit if possible.
HELEN - (dislocated hip, fractured pelvic area, brain bleeding, head injury and an aortic aneurysm) Helen is currently recovering from her recent aneurysm surgery on Thursday, July 26th. The doctors are letting her rest because of her surgery and head injury before going in again for her next surgery on her fractured pelvic area planned for Monday, July 30th.
The doctors recommended not having many visitors at the moment because she still needs a lot of rest and isn’t stable enough for visitor interaction right now.
VINCENT JR. (VINH) - (facial fractures, head injury, severe concussion, and brain bleeding) Vinh is getting lots of rest and medication to help with his headaches and swelling of the eye and face. As of July 28th, he has no vision in his right eye, and we are awaiting for the swelling to go down for further information on that.
Vincent can have visitors to an extent, but with no promises of him being awake or aware because he needs rest for a speedier recovery.
