Journal entry by Thomas Theaker

Things are returning to normal. I forgot my laptop in the rush to get to Church this morning. OOPS ! So y’all know why this journal entry is so late.

Went to St. Paul’s where we attended church for over twenty years. Order of service was different that I remembered. They were in the middle of remodeling so it looked different too. Houston is changing on me !

We expect Helen to be discharged tomorrow at noon. He mouth is still sore & chewing is painful. But her swelling is starting to go down now. They took her bandages off as well. When she saw herself in the bathroom mirror, she said she thinks she looks like a biker chick who lost a bar fight. But all incisions are above her hair line so we think it will all be invisible when her hair grows back.

Had a nice long talk with a Resident/Doctor this afternoon. It all looks good. Just let time heal her & then annual checkups. 5 days after Brain Surgery. He is doing better that either of us dared to hope.
