After 6 rounds of chemo, 3 stem cell transplants, many MRI’s, mulitple port placements and 2 brain surgeries, we heard the best possible news this morning after Heidi’s MRI….that Heidi’s scan showed no remnants of the tumor that Heidi has fought hard to rid her body of. The goal of yesterday’s surgery was to resect a very small area of abnormal tissue, and it was a success!
Heidi’s endurance and indescribable ability to embrace moments of joy and laughter in every day, paired with the best team of doctors and nurses, has gotten her to this point in her treatment…that along with the incredible support of friends and family, and most importantly, the unshaken faith that the Lord has had His trusted hand all over her and her team the entire step of this journey.
With yesterday’s surgery behind us, Heidi’s team is prepared to move her onto her next phase of treatment, which will be 6 weeks of radiation, 5 days a week. That will begin in a couple weeks. This page will be updated before that begins.
We thank you all again for the love you have showered our family with, the meals you have nourished us with, and the prayers you have covered us in.
