Journal entry by Heather Winsand

Troy and I want to thank you all again for the love and support that we have received this year.

I had my implant surgery just over three weeks ago on 12/1/2022. The worst part was not being able to eat from midnight to 5 pm, and then all I wanted was a big burger after surgery!

My follow-up appointment with my surgeon was the following week, and all seemed to be healing nicely. I had some fluid build-up, but it wasn't enough for the Dr. to drain. We are hoping my body will absorb it so I won't have to have it drained at my next appointment on 12/30/2022. At that time, he will take a stitch out, and hopefully, that will be the last time I see him! I have to say I picked a great plastic surgeon. He was the perfect surgeon for my personality. I asked what kind of restrictions I have and he said, "Well, I wouldn't go handgliding or mudwrestle!" I said, no problem! Lol!

May you all have a very Merry Chrismas and a Happy New Year! Stay safe, healthy, and enjoy time with friends and family.
