Welcome to Heather’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportGood news for our gal Heather! Upon completing her initial round (& hopefully final) of 5 Chemo treatments, she went in for some scans. She had an MRI that reflected no mass, which the Dr. believes is most likely the most accurate report. There was an 8 mm mass showing up in the ultrasound, which is most likely scar tissue from the cancer shrinking. This means she will only need a lumpectomy! They will be taking some lymph nodes during surgery and there is a very small chance that those could have cancer in them and if they do, that’s another story, but it’s a very small chance. When all of her treatment is over, including radiation, she will only have a 2% chance of reoccurrence. Surgery is scheduled for June 13, and then her radiation treatments will begin eight weeks after that. God has been so good to Heather - shrinking the cancer through her treatments and keeping her strong thus far. Please continue to pray for her and let’s continue to shower her with all our love & care as she moves into the next phase of treatments.
