Intestines are still sluggish but “sound good”. I get to eat soft solid food again. Liquid diet was a real challenge; I cheated a few times because I really needed to chew something up and swallow it. 

Still no word from Dr. Baranda at KU re: GI tumor board recommendation. Trying not to read anything into the lack of communication. Trying to believe that chemo is the obvious path for right now. Keeping my trust in my doctors and following their recommendations. 

Ativan is kicking in and sleep will follow soon. So many pre-meds to help prevent nausea and diarrhea. Irinotecan and fluorouracil with Avastin cocktail. Taking the Lomotil to prevent diarrhea even though I’m struggling with constipation. It’s an adventure. 

Keep Savannah in your prayers as she navigates her new position and discovers the added responsibilities.

Any body willing and able to pay some doctors that weren’t covered when we switched from BCBS to Ambetter; and crowns that aren’t covered until after you have dental for 12 months. Dr. Lubbers and Deer Creek Family Dental will gladly accept your money in any form of payment. If you have extra HSA money I think you can use it and Care Credit can be applied toward the dental bill and AdventHealth bill since Ambetter only pays 70% for this procedure. 

Savannah has an upper endoscopy on Tues May 31. Dr. Mavec needs to take a look in order to continue writing her script for Pantoprazole.
