Journal entry by Heather Gregory —
I had my 2 month PET scan done this past week and we received amazing news! I am in a position that I am deemed in remission!!! We went from seeing cancer in bones and my spleen and lymph nodes all over to one very small spot to being all that shows up. But, because we are not looking for remission, we are looking for cure, I will finish out the planned course of chemo - so I will be looking for costumes that include a bald head - hit me up with ideas.
I am so excited for this news! As many know, I was very concerned that the treatment was not working because of the minimal side effects I have had. Nausea is building up and my hair is continuing to thin. I have ordered one wig (a good replica of my current hair) and plan to get a fun wig - stay tuned for the reveal! Now is the time for me to try something a little crazy!
Thank you to everyone for the good thoughts and vibes and prayers! They are working! I cannot believe how well this is going. The journey will continue, but at least we know everything is working!
