Hello my family and friends,  

I hope you are all well and healthy as we come to the final stretch of summer!  I have been doing physical therapy 2x week and have made some terrific improvement with my strength and balance. I have much farther to go and after next week I will be doing it on my own and my PT comes to an end. 

Medically I am producing more red blood cells (well the donor is) and still have not needed any transfusions since I have been home.  Sadly though, I have developed what is called Chronic Graft vs Host Disease. It is very common but of course I have been  hoping to not experience it.  So far my symptoms are not severe and it has just been diagnosed. Hopefully we have caught it early and some steroid  treatment will resolve the issues.  Most transplant recipients will get this and it does not last much more than a year. Awfully general but that is all I have for information. 

I will going back to Mayo Clinic towards the end of Oct for more tests to determine I am still in remission, pending results, I will test again six months from then. 

I have not returned to work yet, hopeful will be released late November.  Next week I should find out if I am going to receive my transfer out of Mississippi or not. I will keep you posted. 

I will see some of you at the wedding next weekend!
