Newest Update

Journal entry by Holly Niss

I'm sorry I haven't updated. The first couple days home were pretty overwhelming, and alot of people stopping. Cody started working and then began all of the appointments.
Hartley started walking on her own last Wed, which was a HUGE success!! The followup at HCMC last week did not go so well, as she was so hysterical, kicking, screaming, and crying, that they cancelled the rest of that days follow-ups. Hart still has open sites on her right arm and a right foot. Her and I do the bandages, just the 2 of us and it goes quite well. Big goal is to get her ready for school. Both hands are tight and pretty much stay in the "c" position.  We are just constantly going to therapies and appts.
Before the accident, Cody had some alarming blood work and wasn't feeling the best, so he was doing some extra testing etc and now we had his 4 month post transplant check up, which included a biopsy, in Rochester. Thankfully, the results show that things are still good!!
