Journal entry by Rebecca Griffin

The past 48 hours have been the wildest and the worst rollercoaster I have ever been on.

While I was at home on a video call with my therapist, crying about...everything, Ryan texted and said he had good news and I should call. I assumed Harry was getting out of the hospital earlier than planned and they were packing up. As I was trying to schedule my next appointment, Ryan sent an Alexa announcement that said "Harry does not have cancer 💨💨." We finish all of our announcements with fart emojis so Alexa will fart at us. Oh, you want me to talk about the first part of the message? Okay, Harry does not have cancer.

If you are like me, you may assume that after the worst early birthday present ever of a cancer relapse diagnosis, this is a weird early April Fools joke. Kind of in poor taste, huh? It is not a joke.

Ryan reports that an oncologist came into Harry's room and said it was a false positive. Apparently the stain they use to identify rhabdomyosarcoma cells also highlights LUNG cells. They retested and the fluid was negative for rhabdomyosarcoma cells. The oncology team has moved him from the relapse column back to the remission column.

I will share any other updates we get. For now, please raise a glass, take a shot, thank the heavens, or how ever you want to celebrate...Harry does not have cancer!!!!

Attached is his smug face after he got spoiled for his birthday without even having real cancer.
