My E lost her battle to Cancer today. I’m too heartbroken to find the right words, but hopefully these pictures will celebrate our love for her and what a blessing she was to us. She was my second Mom, my best teacher, my strong and steady, the one who made me see the world and helped me find my place in it.

We were fortunate to be home for the summer when she got sick and have sooo much quality time together. My kids showed their compassion, love, kindness, bravery, curiosity, and strength—I loved seeing them climb in her bed when she couldn’t get out. I hope I can follow their lead and may we always remember her love and her teachings. To know her was to love her.
