Again, our sincere gratitude for praying alongside our family on this journey. ------------------------------ HALEY'S STORY... THIS was NOT on Haley's bucket list for the summer! But here we are, braving a new adventure.
It started with kind of a sore knee, not unusual for a multi-sport athlete. But in the last 4 weeks Haley's knee started to swell so she got an MRI in Atwood that lead to a follow up appointment with KU Med in Kansas City on July 8th. They requested additional testing throughout the week (biopsy, MRI, CT scan) which confirmed Osteosarcoma - the most common type of cancer that arises in the bone.
From here, our next steps are: 1. Meeting with Children's Mercy Hospital in KC. 2. Setting up Chemo appointments 3. Making a plan for school 4. Surgery 5. More Chemo 6. Lots of therapy...physical and mental

Haley’s scans were clear of any cancer! We are rejoicing. She is now waiting to receive an “athlete foot” from the prosthetist through a foundation grant. Thank you for your continued prayers💜💜
