Journal entry by Erica Sanders

We found a new pediatrician in San Diego, but we ended up switching after the first visit. He knew nothing about IA (Imperforate Anus) and told us that since Hadley had the anal opening she didn't have the birth defect and basically all her procedures were for nothing.. Mac and I were livid so we switched Pediatricians. We found one we love now and we got a referral for a surgeon out here. Hadley had her third procedure done around 6 months old and so far we are doing okay. I will make a post that touches up on what IA/ARM is and the things that can go along with it. The surgeon we met with was great and we really like him.
