Journal entry by Miriam Ford —
It’s been a good holiday season for Gwen and family. Thanksgiving was a joyful one after Gwen’s return from The Shepherd Center in Atlanta. Gwen received almost 5 weeks of intense therapy. Her favorite new skill that she gained in her time there is TEXTING with her phone!! Gwen is so thankful for The Shepherd Center and all of their staff, her aunts, her mom, and Danielle for staying with her during her time there, and everyone here who helps with her care. She has an amazing team of CNAs in addition to her family and friends who continue to support her. Gwen will return to Shepherd for another round of therapy in the spring. If you’re looking for a year-end tax-deductible donation, please consider giving to The Shepherd Center Foundation in Gwen’s honor.

Gwen had a wonderful Christmas. Her home was beautifully decorated with help from the Cunningham and Folley families and over 100 precious ornaments made by the students at EDS. There was lots of time with family and friends, and Gwen and Dylan even attended a candlelight service on Christmas Eve.
Please continue to keep Gwen and her family in your prayers this coming year.
