Guy’s Story

Site created on September 3, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
In August Guy was diagnosed with Esophageal Adenocarcinoma Cancer . He started having issues with gastric reflux in July.  He was started in reflux meds than started throwing up. They did a CT scan to rule out a bowel obstruction. On the CT they found enlarged lymph nodes on his Liver, in his abdomen and on his Lungs. They biopsied his Liver such came back as Cancer at that point we were not sure where the original tumor was. So on Aug. 11 Guy had a endoscope (camera down his throat)  they found a tumor including 95% of his esophogus. This explains why Guy has been unable to eat any but yogurt or liquids. He had a stent out in to open up his esophogus, it lasted two weeks. It caused more issues than it solved. So here we are at the beginning of Sept.
We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
