Ashley’s Story

Site created on August 4, 2020

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.    I started leaking fluid some where between week 12 and 18 and I was admitted to the hospital at 23.5 weeks gestation due to low amniotic fluid to observe and make sure baby Guy stays safe and healthy.

Journal entry by Ashley Tolliver

After a very long 4 months (to the day) we have been discharged from the NICU and we arrived home last night!! We can’t thank all of the staff and volunteers at the Ronald McDonald house, doctors and nurses at The Women’s Hospital, Tri-State Perinatology, our physical therapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists and dietitians enough!  They are all truly amazing and made this journey as painless as possible. We made many new friends in the NICU and the Ronald McDonald House! Can’t wait to be able to come back and visit when we get older and the pandemic is under control!

And if anyone was wondering today makes it exactly 4 months since I was admitted to The Women’s Hospital for observation.  Admitted on August 1st and now leaving on December 1st.

We also want to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support through this process!  Everyone has made a difference and helped in so many ways!! We are so blessed and grateful!

Cora is a proud big sister and she loves him already! She can’t wait to help change one of his diapers 😆😆
