On Thursday, August 9, Alyssa and her two daughters Ellie (age 5) and Addie (age 3), and her best friend and her two daughters, were hit in a devastating front end collision when a car came into their lane on the highway. Both mothers were hospitalized and our prayers go out for the Marshall family as they grieve the loss of one of their daughters. Alyssa suffered broken ribs, including an unusual occurrence of front, middle and back break of a number of ribs, in addition to nerve damage in her neck. Ellie has a shoulder broken in 3 places, broken tibia & fibia, fractured pelvis, and has been medically sedated for severe brain pressure. Addie has a concussion and bleeding spleen. Alyssa and the girls were hospitalized in two different hospitals, located nearly 1.5 hours apart. Please pray for Eric and Kaden (age 8) as they care for their beloved girls.
This healing journey is just beginning for the Grundmeier family. We pray daily for their recovery, for the medical teams to have wisdom, and for peace and comfort that only God can give.
