Gretchen’s Story

Site created on December 14, 2017

"My God is so BIG, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing my God cannot do!"  I remember that song from when my kids were little and listened to "Veggie Tales" a lot.  It's becoming my theme  song now, hence the title for my Caring Bridge site. Since my breast cancer diagnosis on December 13, we have received an outpouring of prayers, love, support and encouragement from family and friends, so many that we know we won't be able to keep up with individual replies all the time.  We are using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your continued prayers, love and support.  You are always welcome to contact us directly; please just know we may not always be able to reply right away.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Gretchen Adrian

What a way to start the new year:  This week’s MRI and CT scans are clear, showing no spots or signs of active cancer!  This news is especially good because the October scans showed the possibility of a spot on my liver.  Maybe that possible spot was never anything at all, or maybe God took it away; either way, we are praising Him!

I’m continuing with the same medication/treatment regimen, and we’ll scan again in a few months.

Happy new year!

I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.

Psalm 9:2
