**Note to our visitors: We want to thank everyone for the continued prayers and support during this time. We were notified that a request for donations was popping up when logging in to view updates and we wanted to make sure all of our visitors know that is a feature Caring Bridge uses to run their site. We are not seeking any donations and are simply using this platform to update you all on Greg’s progress. Thank you again for all the support and love, please keep praying for complete healing of our Bear! 🙏
Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
Greg started experiencing mild Covid symptoms on Saturday, January 16 and he tested positive that morning. Symptoms were managed at home that week but on Saturday, January 23 he woke up early morning with low O2 sats and difficulty breathing. Cathy immediately took him to Presby Dallas and he was quickly admitted.
He is not allowed to have any visitors at this time so we are having to rely purely on updates from the nurses and doctors which don’t come near as often as we would like them to. We will try to keep you all updated as we hear news.
We would like to ask that you leave well wishes on this site and refrain from messaging or calling him directly so that he can get the rest he needs to heal and recover! This will also keep all of the love sent his way in one place for him to read when he is able.
Thank you so much for your love, concern and prayers for Greg and our family!
This is COVID. Seems it will never end. Today Greg had surgery on his larynx due to trauma from being intubated so long. He is doing great and his voice is already so much better! He is supposed to rest his voice and not talk until his post-op visit next week. Then hopefully we can put the past five months behind us. ❤️
