Gregory’s Story

Site created on February 13, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Gregory Flores is very ill and in the hospital in Clarksville, IN. He suffers from hepatitis, This disease of the liver will cause other organs not to function properly and the severity of that has manifested.
Those of you who know Greg best knows that he places friendship and loyalty above everything else, almost to a fault. It is hard not to like Greg. He will look you in the eye and greet you with a hardy "howdy". He is quick witted and irreverent. He loves gaming, music, movies and comedy. While his opinions are often dramatic, he chooses to stretch a point for illustrative purposes and its difficult to know what he truly believes. Greg has an 8 year old daughter, Lily, whom he loves very much, although his condition precludes him from a deeper relationship with her. He also has a beautiful 16 yea old niece, Makalah whom he adores. Greg loves JoJo his adopted cat and Paige the dog.
Please send this website to any and all who care for Greg. PLEASE, THIS ISN'T FACEBOOK...NO OPINIONS, JUDGMENTS, OR ARGUMENTS WILL BE TOLERATED. We only want loving care, concern and expressions of encouragement.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Rudy Flores

Last night Greg was moved to a med/surg floor and out of ICU. This is good news because it means he is no longer critical and his management will not be as intense. He still has a feeding tube but has been moved to clear liquids which is is enjoying, broth, jello, juice and water. He is devouring them like he will never get another one.
This morning, his mental state was very clear as he answered all of the questions that the nurses usually ask, before they asked them...full name, date of birth, day of the year, year, and who is the president...
He still has several severe conditions but they will be managed by another team. Prayers are greatly appreciated.
Rob and Kylie have offered to come to help us out and that too is greatly appreciated.
