Journal

Dear family and friends,

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of Greg's passing. On Tuesday, November 28th at 7 pm, Greg went to be with our Lord.  He ran life's race with strength, passion, and zeal and had victory in the end as he crossed his finish line and was received into the loving arms of his Savior.

We are mourning the loss of Greg being here with us, yet rejoicing over Greg's freedom from his long journey with AML and his experience now to be perfectly whole in body, mind, and spirit in his heavenly home with the Lord.

I can't express enough how much we have appreciated your outpouring of love and support, especially your many fervent prayers which showed up in beautiful, miraculous, and strengthening ways in the journey. We are forever grateful.

One dear friend sent me this message yesterday, "Greg was such an incredible individual, unfailingly spiritual, faithful, cheerful, positive a man of unfailing integrity. "  I know he has personally touched the lives of many of you as well.  In the spirit of Greg's gift of encouragement, I'm sure he is numbered in the cloud of witnesses now still cheering us on.

Being Greg’s wife in our  journey through life together over the last 45 years has been a privilege!  I was cherished and faithfully cared for as he poured out his love over me and our children and grandchildren.  He will be missed terribly and we will covet your continued prayers in the coming days as we walk through our grief and sorrow.

Greg had the spirit of Paul and so I leave you with his words:

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing (2 Timothy 4:6-8).

A funeral service will be held at Central Baptist Church in Eureka, MO on Saturday, December 2nd at 9:00 am.

A second service will be held on December 2nd at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Hatton, MO where Greg will be laid to rest.
