It’s been quite a week! We all went to Morro Bay on Thursday to enjoy cooler weather, the beach, each other and some time away. We had lots of family time, good food and beautiful ocean views. Scrabble and Skipbo were played a lot. There was lots of reminiscing as we worked on Grayson’s memorial service. We came home Sunday evening.

Noel started back to work yesterday and the 5 grandkids started school today! Esther had her first day of kindergarten and she was excited!! The other 4 not so much. 😊.

Kent, Michelle and Kristen Joy get in today. They’re Grayson’s brother and family from Cincinnati and Seattle. So glad they’ll be here.

We’re looking forward to celebrating Grayson’s life tomorrow. I’m sure there will be tears and laughter too. He would want his service to bring God glory. I believe it will. Our Shafter church family has been wonderful in helping in many ways. We are very thankful and appreciate their prayers and support during a difficult time for us.

Grayson’s favorite verses were Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” That’s my prayer for each of us.
I know I need Him immensely in this new way of living. I also know I can depend on His promises. #greatisHisfaithfulness
