Georgette’s Story

Site created on February 26, 2023

Georgette was not feeling well on Thursday night. Come Friday morning she was unable to move from the pain in her head. EMS was called and she was rushed to the ER with an ischemic stroke (blood clot in the brain). They were unable to move the clot, so she was given TPA (a very strong blood thinner) with the known possibility of developing a brain bleed and was given a poor prognosis. Unfortunately, she did bleed, and the swelling in her brain was severe. George is still in critical condition, but as the tough woman we all know, she is fighting hard to prove the doctors wrong. We are remaining optimistic and welcome all the love and prayers. At this time we request no visitors as she needs to rest and remain calm to reduce the risk of re-bleed.
