Gordon’s Story

Site created on November 22, 2018

Gordon Schroeder has lived a life full of joy and an extraordinary love for Jesus, family and every person around him. We so appreciate the outpouring of love and sharing of memories that you have with our precious Gordon. The consistency of these memories speaks to the consistency of his life- one that was dedicated to loving God and others with everything he had.

In late August, Gordon found a lump near his belly button. His doctor suggested a cat scan to investigate the lump further and the surprising results indicated stage 4 cancer that had spread throughout his body. At the time he was not in any pain nor experiencing any ill effects from the cancer. He carried on with life as normal (full of energy and zest) until he slowly became more tired and ill. We believe he is now in his last days on this earth. He is peaceful and miraculously not experiencing any pain.

We will use this caring bridge page to keep you posted on how he is doing. Please continue to post your memories and love for Gordon here or on his Facebook page. They mean so much to us and we read every one of them to him.

Thank you for your love and prayers and support of our family during this time.
