Journal entry by Gordon Bontrager

Well, well, well, long time no snore.  I'm back to bore you as you've never been bored before. Except that I know you've been already been bore-saturated, and you can't get any more bored, so I suppose I'll only be able to re-saturate you. You're welcome.

Let's save me a few type-strokes, and I'll just shorten this to, "Blah blah blah, had my 6 month MRI today, blah, blah, blah, seems no recurrence to this point, blah, blah, blah, my tractor has not gone swimming for a good year now."

For those bore-immune among us, I'll drone on a bit longer. I think I forgot to tell you about the actual drone that Cynthia bought for me a few years back. Let's just say it was labeled correctly as "drone" and not "boat". Or "float". It could have been accurately labeled "rock" or "sink", too. I haven't been allowed to have another one, even though I'm pretty certain I would take care, this time, to keep it away from that sneaky pond. It's not like my track record is un-good. Or anti-good. It's just a little frayed. But in an un-bad way. It's good-ish. I would absolutely look at it that way if I were Cynthia, and I loved my husband.

On the farm we have been raising Guinea fowl. We started with 31. They come in 16's, we got 2 batches, and one died on the way. In case you didn't know, "Guinea" means "fractional brain". Over the course of a year and a half, we "raised them" all the way to 0 remaining. They seem to be the chicken nuggets to the predator world. We fed a den of fox kits with them. That's what we do, nurture nature. Our guard cat Nala was of no use, unless you count deceiving our daughters into thinking she's a dog as a use.

Ok, I think that's going to be a wrap. May the Lord bless you and keep you. And please keep First Light Mission (formerly Goshen Interfaith Hospitality Network) in your prayers and giving as they continue their work providing families with shelter in Goshen.
