Mike keeps making great progress and is getting stronger every day!

The hospital was ready to discharge him yesterday, but the in-patient rehab program at Madonna does not accept new patients over the weekend (🤔), so he is hanging out at CHI, taking walks in the hallway (once without a walker today!), making the nurses laugh, finding new vegan/vegetarian recipes,  and watching football.  The nursing staff has written on his whiteboard "please don't go!," which makes us think he may be one of their favorite patients 🤭

Today, Mike also had visits from Elaine and Emmy (his kitty), and dinner with Dee and Laura (salad for him and pizza for us!).

There is just a day and a half until Mike is freed from the hospital and takes another big step towards coming home! We are so happy with his progress, and can't wait until he is back home!
