A Celebration of Life for my Mom Gloria Morris and my Aunt Carol Sweeney will take place on: Saturday, August 7th at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 827 16th Street, Rockford, IL. First will be a Social Visitation with coffee and doughnuts (my Mom's favorite) from 9:00 a.m - 10:45 a.m. in the church "welcome center" followed by their Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. Burial will follow for Gloria Morris at Arlington Cemetery, 6202 Charles St. Rockford at 1:00 p.m. A private, family burial will take place for Aunt Carol Sweeney at Sunset Memorial Gardens (Garden of the Last Supper Section), 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, Mon Aug. 9th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church for their shut in members. This will provide weekly church service broadcasts and monthly church program outreach to their homes. Aunt Carol Sweeney loved receiving this outreach and looked forward to the church programs that came in the mail for years to her each month. She would sing the hymns in each one, as she once sang in the church choir and missed it very much! What a blessing that was for her to receive these and would also be for others who love to hear the word of the Lord.
