Glad’s Story

Site created on March 23, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Late January Glad wasn’t feeling well and went to the doctor. She had fluid on her lung and a mass was discovered. Additional tests and scans were conducted, and small cell cancer was found. The cancer has been labeled stage 4. It’s in her lung, brain, adrenal glands and lymph nodes.

The Doctors priority was treating the brain cancer, treatments started February 25th. A total of 10 radiation treatments were completed in sunny AZ. After treatment, Glad is feeling good and celebrated her 70th birthday. (See pictures)

After the big birthday bash she flew back to MN with Roger, Tami, Connor and Carson. Her significant sweetheart John made the cross-country drive with Becky. Back in MN the party continued with a MN 70th birthday party. (See picture)

The first round of Chemotherapy started March 19th in Worthington. Round two is scheduled in 3 weeks.
So far side effects have been minimal from treatments. She is feeling good and knows Jesus loves her!
