Site created on December 7, 2023

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
On November 11th, Gideon Magangira was involved in a serious car accident on his way to visit a friend. Gideon is a second-year student at Rosedale Bible College. He comes from Tanzania and is a gifted musician and is called to serve the church in Tanzania, a country he loves.
Gideon has been in the hospital since the day of his accident and has undergone many procedures and surgeries to help his body recover.  He is currently at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH where doctors and nurses have taken wonderful care of him. Our most significant prayer is for the healing of his brain.
Thank you for your interest and your prayers.

Journal entry by Jeremy Miller

Good morning,

There have been several critical developments in Gideon's recovery this week. On thursday, Gideon was experiencing significant pain in his abdomen while doing therapy. The medical staff at the rehabilitation center were concerned and had Gideon taken to the hospital for examination. They discovered that he was experiencing significant bleeding and performed a procedure to stop the bleeding. Gideon was stable.

Last evening (Friday night), his hemoglobin levels dropped and the medical staff became very concerned and again Gideon was taken to perform a procedure to identify the location of the bleeding and stop it. As they performed the procedure, they were unable to locate the source of the bleeding but his blood counts leveled out and his blood pressure returned to normal. He is under observation in the ICU today as doctors seek to understand what is happening with his body.

Thank you for your prayers
