Roy’s Story

Site created on August 3, 2020

On his way home from work on July 20th, Roy McClellan was in a bad car accident where a distracted driver hit him head-on. Roy was rushed to the Vanderbilt Trauma Center in critical condition. After surgeries on his leg, hip and arm, Roy is now in stable condition, but he will have a journey to recovery ahead of him. Roy only has the use of his left hand. He will share his mailing address once he is moved to a recovery facility, which should be soon. Feel free to send him notes of encouragement and your favorite podcast recommendations. 😊

A Go-Fund-Me was setup in Roy’s name when someone who witnessed the car wreck called his work and asked how they could donate to him. His work colleague wrote, “Roy is not only a great friend, co-worker and employee, he is his mother's care giver. I am not only asking for prayers for Roy and his mother, but it would be a great help if we could help relieve him of some of the financial burdens created by this horrific accident. If you would like to assist by donating to Roy's medical expense funds, your generosity and support would be greatly appreciated.” Find his donation page here: https://gf.me/u/yjv2w8.

Thanks for visiting Roy's CaringBridge website. He is using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Roy appreciates your support and words of hope and encouragement.
