I got a call from my doctor the other day, and I now know my cancer stage. I’m stage one for papillary thyroid cancer along with a second type of cancer that is also in stage one. She took out two lymph nodes, and there were ten growths that looked suspicious. Six were cancerous, but caught extremely early. My doctor also congratulated me on being a good patient advocate for myself and pushing her to give me the surgery and take me seriously, so that was gratifying to hear after fighting doctors on my thyroid issues since 2018.
