Getting ready for my FIRST Treatment... lots of tests... on 7/10 I had my first MRI- WOW! That test is very loud! Sounds like you’re in a pinball machine. Once you get going with the rhythm this thing makes a Big Loud Bang sound and scares the crap out of you. Great results on the MRI. NO Cancer in the BRAIN. 😊
7/11 I had my P.E.T. Scan and this test was not bad. The table you lay on is no wider than a pillow: I was afraid of falling off. This test showed cancer in the left lung but also my lymph nodes were abnormal on the left and right side. 😜 This was not Great News! But we will deal with it.
I was feeling pretty good so far but my luck ran out. On 7/11 I started with a slight fever so I took some Tylenol. On the 12th the fever got higher so I called the doctor and was told to go to the ER. They did X-rays and I was told I had pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital. I was home by
Saturday.
This past Monday 7/23 I had my port put in and was awake for the whole procedure. It was very uncomfortable after. The next day, Tuesday, I had a bronchoscope. I hate having the doctor stick tubes up my nose and down my throat. Just hate it. So today I start my journey at 8am for my first radiation treatment & 9 for Chemo. Treatment went good so far no side effects. 😁
Ad of right now I have chemo once a week and radiation every single day for 30 days...
