Journal entry by Geri Pettitt —
Hi All,
After a long 2 weeks in the hospital as we waited for the intestinal issues to clear up, our Dad is finally at a rehab facility!!! Yaaaayyyy!!! We did get in a lot of walking practice at the hospital. Dad is pretty talented with a walker now.
It is the Ebenezer Integrated Care and Rehab Center in downtown St. Paul - just a 4 min drive from the hospital Dad was in, but now 2 blocks away from where I, Shannon, work at Ecolab :-)
Dad is easing into the rehab center, just not excited about being in another facility and not yet at home. It is a beautiful place and has this wonderful sunroom that is indoors with Adirondack chairs with a view of the capitol and a lot of traffic which Dad enjoys watching.
The official rehab starts on Monday since we got here late Friday.
Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers and positive vibes for Dad - we have felt it and are very grateful.
Hope you all have a very Happy Easter!!!
