Journal entry by Lisa McKenney

Thank you friends and family for checking in on Georgia's cancer journey here. Your love and support have been a life line as she navigates this process of cancer treatment. It has been a challenge to keep everyone updated on her progress so we thought this site would be a helpful way for us to connect.

To catch you up on her journey...

November 2022 - Breast biopsy identifies cancer

December 2022 - Cancer was determined to be invasive ductal - stage 2.
Appointments with genetics, surgeon, oncologist, and radiologist at Providence

January 18, 2023 - Mastectomy -
Cancer was found in 1 of 2 lymph nodes removed so her medical team
recommended both chemo and radiation treatments

March 8, 2023 1st chemo treatment - 4 treatments are scheduled. Son Chris was there with me for 3 hour infusion time.  Both kids were here for a week to help organize and simplify our living space.  Minimal side affects. Steroids keeping me up at night for a few days.  Felt great the last 10 days before chemo # 2!

March 29, 2023 2nd chemo treatment.  Better day.  Infusion staff is wonderful. Lisa spent the infusion time with me and spent the night. Still walking the dog and staying active.

April 19, 2023 3rd chemo scheduled
