Great day today!  Dad was discharged and we moved him to The Willows of Howell, so he can be close to our family here in Howell.  He is doing very well.  We are anticipating a short stay of rehabilitation before him and mom can move back to Spring Lake.  Dad is very motivated and is amazingly positive, considering all he has been through.  

Brenda flew in from NY for 3 days, and helped tremendously with this transition.  She and mom had dinner with dad, and Jill is coming up for lunch tomorrow. 

Mom remains comfortable at our home and is looking forward to a shorter commute to see dad (5 minutes, vs. 1 hour).  It is so wonderful to see them together.  My sisters and I are so blessed to have great role models of what it means to love in sickness and in health.  

Thank you, family and friends for your continued support and prayers.  We truly appreciate you.  I read the comments to mom and keep dad in the loop too.  

Dad will still have a few challenges ahead, but we are breathing a sigh of relief.  I believe dad will pick things up from here, and if not, I'll post again later.
