Gene’s Story

Site created on November 19, 2020

On November 3, 2020  Gene Stensland tested positive with COVID-19.  With his oxygen level very low, he was transported from the Buffalo hospital ER to Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. He developed pneumonia and has been in and out of the ICU unit on full oxygen.  As of Sunday, November 15th Gene was fully sedated and intubated on a ventilator. Tests have revealed he has severe lung damage. On Tuesday evening, November 17th Gene was placed on a Hemolung machine. This therapy removes the carbon dioxide from the blood, also referred to respiratory dialysis. He is stable but is very sick. So we ask that you keep Gene in your prayers and that God will lend his healing hand.
