Gayle was involved in a head on collision May 24th, 2018. She was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She suffered a broken left pelvis, right leg, ankle and foot breaks and fractures. She has 6 or 7 broken ribs and 15-20 fractures up and down her spine.

Journal entry by Robin Walters

One month home and all is well. Mom continues to improve slowly. She is able to use her left foot which make transfers easier. She had her first shower this week since leaving MFB.
The right foot is still in a boot and she can’t use it yet. It became infected last week, so the nurse is working on that and she is on antibiotics.
Overall, things are going well.
Thank you for the continued prayers for our family. This has been a rough summer, but brighter days are ahead.
