Gavin had to have his hip plates and screws removed due to bone shape shifting. The plates were causing pain and a swollen mass near his hip joints. Surgery was on Tuesday and everything went smoothly. This was a great relief and a surprise. He was able to come home the same evening. He is healing now and in the next 6 weeks he should be great.
Summer school went well and he is now on break until he starts again. He will have a new teacher but be in the same program he was in for kindergarten.
He has a little cough but we are keeping an eye on how it develops. For now, he is going to enjoy a few days at the lake with his family. Have an amazing day everyone.
