Newest Update

Journal entry by Robin Stoebner

**** THE FOLLOWING POST WAS WRITTEN TO KEEP OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN THE LOOP, BUT I REALIZE THAT THIS IS OLD NEWS, FOR SOME OF YOU. ****

It's been over 2 years since I posted a journal entry on Gary's page, so I decided to give you an update. One year ago today, 12-09-21, Gary received a kidney transplant! GOD IS GOOD!  ✝  I'm happy to report, that both Gary's liver and kidney, are functioning very well!

We've also experienced many other blessings since my last post. I'm pleased to announce that Remi Lea, Hannah and Troy's baby girl, was born on May 31, 2022! In addition to gaining a granddaughter, Gary and I also welcomed a daughter-in-law, Bobbi (Antonsen) to our family! Chase and Bobbi were married on October 8, 2022! We are very grateful for our growing family! 🥰

The Avera Transplant Team has kept close tabs on Gary. The first part of June, they ordered various tests, to see why his weekly labs were slightly off. The bad news is, they discovered that Gary has cancer in his pancreatic bile duct. The good news is, they caught it early, and it hasn't spread. Gary started receiving chemo infusions, at the end of June. An MRI is scheduled for later this month, to see if the chemotherapy is continuing to shrink the mass. We're praying that it is! 🙏

Wishing  you a  MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!🎄
