Gary’s Story

Site created on August 23, 2022

Thank you for visiting our Caring Bridge site.  This is Gary's (and Jeanmarie's) journey of the discovery of a Glioblastoma and how it's affected our lives.   Join us as we travel this new path and feel free to share your thoughts and prayers with us.
If you've just joined us, please click on the Journal button above this opening and  scroll down to the first post with the title "July 11, 2020 - How it Began".  That will tell you how we got where we are.  Then follow the dates of the journal posts and you find out what our journey has been like.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Jeanmarie Shingleton

It's been a long week filled with tears and sorrow and a hole in days.

I see several people are checking back regularly. I imagine that is because I left something out in the last post.

In honoring Gary's wishes, there will not be a funeral service. He has been cremated as he requested.
We are working on an obituary. This has become a collaborative effort so - - our goal will be sometime this year! 🙄😏

I'm kidding. I will post a link to it as soon as we have it finalized and have uploaded it.

Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts, lovely flowers and prayers. I am taking it one day at a time and missing him all the time.
