Gary’s Story

Site created on August 25, 2018

Our dad, Gary Murray, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer on Friday 8/10/18. This news has been devastating to him and our entire family. However, we believe in the power of prayer and we ask that you lift us up as we know the love of our Lord and Savior will continue to carry him and our entire family through this tough time.  We appreciate all the offers to bring meals and help in any way.  The coming days and months will bring many challenges.  Thank you for your desire to help. We appreciate donations to the Go Fund Me account set up for Gary & Susan, meals- which can be signed up for at  https://takethemameal.com/meals.php?t=DVGI0449 encouraging cards / texts / Caring Bridge messages, and/or most importantly praying for strength and healing if God wills.

If you would like to set a time to visit please text Amanda (330)347-1682

Thank you all for your love, support and prayers!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee;
yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

We rest in the promises of our Lord and Savior.

Early Wednesday morning November 14th our Dad's suffering here on earth ended. Our hearts are now left with an emptiness and an even stronger longing for heaven. My Mom, Susan, and all of us children; Brent & Kari, Kevin & Melissa, Mark & Alicia, Brad and myself would like to sincerely thank each one of you. We are humbled by all of the meals, cards, messages, gifts, visits, prayers, and love that have been showered upon us during the past 3 months.

Sweet By and By (Sandford F. Bennett)

There's a land that is fairer than day,
and by faith we can see it afar;
for the Father waits over the way
to prepare us a dwelling place there.

Refrain:
In the sweet by and by,
we shall meet on that beautiful shore.
In the sweet by and by,
we shall meet on that beautiful shore.

We shall sing on that beautiful shore
the melodious songs of the blest;
and our spirits shall sorrow no more,
not a sigh for the blessing of rest. [Refrain]

To our bountiful Father above
we will offer our tribute of praise
for the glorious gift of his love
and the blessings that hallow our days. [Refrain]
