Gary & Libby’s Story

Site created on March 22, 2020

My mom and dad (affectionately known as Nanny and Grandad) both have Covid-19.  Grandad's case has been confirmed by tests and Nanny has not yet had a test, but has many of the symptoms and of course had been living close to, and caring for, Grandad before his hospitalization.

Nanny was hit hard by the disease.  Most of her symptoms are gone, but she is still very tired.   Grandad was released from the hospital on Saturday, April 11.   They are both at home, but still under quarantine.  My sister Lara is spending much of each day on her property and waving to her through the window, and my brother Dave has been driving from Dallas to visit on a regular basis.

We're not sure how much longer the quarantine will last, but we hope to find out early this week.

One down, one to go.  My parents were released from quarantine today.  Woot woot!

They still remain very tired, but are improving day by day.
