It’s been about a year since my last post and it’s certainly been a whirlwind. We’ve been blessed that Gage has been pretty healthy this last year . Unfortunately during this year my brothers wife Jordan (someone I consider my sister) has been dealing with a cancer battle of her own. She has already undergone quite a few treatments and still has more to come. I feel thankful that our family is so close and that we have been able to all be there for each other during this time.
I’m making this post because unfortunately due to worsening growths in Gage’s lungs , he will be undergoing more chemotherapy. For the last almost 5 years Gage has taken an oral chemo called mitotane but it is not working any longer and now he will be doing rounds of the more common intravenous chemo. He will have 4-6 cycles . This is disheartening for us as it feels like Gage has already gone through so much the last few years . Gage will start chemo most likely at the end of May. I feel for Gage especially right now because he had been pursuing firefighting and was doing incredible and now that dream is being pushed aside .
This has been a really hard year for our family but I’ve seen how blessed we are to have each other and how many people love and care for us.
