Welcome to Wilfredo "Freddy"’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportBeen a long weekend. Freddy had Chemo with Abraxane which is administered via IV every week for 3 weeks on and 1 week off. This week is week one. This is going to be very hard on him because he had the brain gamma knife radiation surgery on the 3rd and 6th of July, 2018. Freddy has been in a lot of pain in the head since the Gamma Knife Radiation Surgery. He has blurred vision which he expresses as if you were opening your eyes all day in the chlorine pool and when you get out you have that haze all around your vision. The nausea and abdominal pain that is irritating his cyclic vomiting disorder is beating him up. He is having labored breathing which is scary for him and today I have had to give him benedryl for fear of the throat closing up. He has not slept more than 6 hours since Friday and as I type he just laid his head down to try to handle the waves of sickness and attempt to sleep. I am hoping that he will rest because Friday is just around the corner and he will get smacked with another round of chemo and a chemo injection. On Friday he will get the 2nd round for this month of Abraxane and then for the bone cancer, the Xgeva injection. Xgeva is an injection given for the bone cancer and let me tell you, it is painful, cramping, twitching, flu like symptoms and more. I feel for him as he has a triple whammy going on and feels like hell. Im trying to keep him positive. Hugs for all the love and all your prayers.
