Fraser ’s Story

Site created on March 16, 2024

Fraser was first diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2008.   After various treatments over the years, a recent PET scan revealed that his cancer has progressed to stage 4 and has metastasized to his bones.  Unfortunately, he is not a candidate for any further treatment.   Learning this news has shaken our family and we have been doing everything we can to process and manage through this turn of events.  Although Fraser is experiencing mild symptoms, he is in good spirits and is currently at home under the care of hospice.

We will be using this CaringBridge website to communicate future updates to Fraser’s condition.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Jan Harrison

It’s time I send an update on Fraser’s situation as so many have asked how he is doing.  He is still about the same with no pain other than achy legs and sore shoulders (no idea why his shoulders).  His Hospice nurse Danielle comes weekly and his vitals are all good.  The only thing that is more noticeable is his increased tiredness and wanting to sleep a lot.  Otherwise to look at him you would never know he has anything going on.  Thanks to so many of you who have commented on this site, sent cards, and have come to visit.  It is all so appreciated.
