Frank’s Story

Site created on November 14, 2018

Welcome to Frank's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

As many of you know, Frank was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2008. He chose a medical team at MD Anderson and began treatment shortly after his diagnosis. However, for the last five years, Frank's lymphoma has been managed without the need for treatment and he has been living a relatively cancer free life. He continued to follow up with his doctors at MD Anderson for scans and tests to ensure the lymphoma was  still managed and did not need further treatment. In August 2018, Frank and Linda returned to MD Anderson for his routine yearly scan to check on his lymphoma. It was through this testing that his doctors noticed a lesion on his pancreas as well as his lymph nodes. After further testing, Frank was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (adenocarcinoma).

While this diagnosis is obviously devastating, Frank and his family are hopeful. Frank is otherwise healthy and strong and he has a dedicated support system around him. Nurse Linda is putting her skills to good use. Katie, Laura, and Claire pester him with phone calls, texts, and visits. And his four adoring grandchildren give "Pops" lots of extra snuggles. We appreciate your support, prayers, and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting and following along with us.
