Journal entry by Franka Marcellino —
Good morning!
My knee MRI came back normal-ish.. there was no nerve compression and nothing that needs immediate intervention. I have one more follow up with a neurologist this month, but there isn’t anything too concerning at this point. I have my PT exercises and my foot has regained a good amount of strength.
Typically during my 3 month scans I get a scan of my chest, abdomen, and pelvis. Because I got a scan of my abdomen and pelvis last month during my hospital stay, I only had a chest CT this month. Everything there looks the same, so no progression of cancer! My next scans will be in May. And my treatment will remain the same (we’re keeping the oral chemo at 1 pill a day).
For the most part I have been eating better. There are still other ‘minor’ side effects I deal with daily, but those have been ‘manageable’. And now that I think about it, dealing with these daily side effects has been my new norm & will likely continue to be the norm.. Still praying for complete healing and restoration!
Last month marked 2 years since my diagnosis and the start of my treatment. I cannot believe that I have been doing biweekly treatment for 2 years! 🤯 I’m thankful for God’s faithfulness, provision, & strength through it all. And for all your prayers ♥️
