Zach had his 3 month scans today at Mayo. The x-ray showed no new growth and no evidence of the calcified tumors growing. Praise God!! Zach also had OT at Mayo and was able to fine tune a few skills with his prosthetic by using his proportional pincer grip to stack the cups by slightly squeezing them and not crushing them. This takes some skill and focus because he's using his left arm to control his right elbow joint and the up and down movements of the hand, and at the same time using his right peck and back muscles to control the open and closing proportional pressure of his right hand. Total focus! He was also able to don his prosthetic and backpack independently, and fold towels. Guess who's on laundry duty now?! 😉 He is able to hold his trombone and play a few notes, but is hoping to march and play using some devices and inspiration from OT today. We'll see. Zach's care team of doctors and nurses were quite impressed with all his hair, his great health, and his skills and rapid progression at articulating his prosthetic arm and hand. Thank you for your continued prayers for all of us! God is good!
