Journal entry by Danee Pfeiffer —
Yesterday’s treatment went well. Sleep afterwards wasn’t as good as it’s been, but that may be because I slept 11 hours the night before!
I have been pondering what it means to wait on the Lord-I keep seeing that over and over in His Word. I’ve been reading a devotional in the YouVersion app called Waking Up to the Goodness of God by Susie Larson, and I think she speaks beautifully to this:
Is it possible to walk in the abundance of God while you wait for the promises of God? Yes, I believe it is. But not without utter honesty and holy dependence.
We remember what we possess in Christ Jesus right now. We revel in the assurance that we have an eternity with God, and no demon in hell can snatch it from us. We realize that while we walk this earth, we live in the now and the not yet. We lean hard on the Lord. We envision God’s intervention. We get a picture of what healing might look like for us. We rejoice in God’s goodness, and we keep walking. And we keep believing.
So I choose to keep rejoicing, walking, and believing.
